JOAN LEONG is a seasoned content and media executive who has worked across all mediums, from photography, to videos, to digital content campaigns.
She has produced award-winning content for international television shows such as The Amazing Race (Australia, Israel, Asia, Philippines), Cash Cab Asia, Asia’s Next Top Model, and has worked with multi-national companies including Shell and the Associated Press.
She was executive producer on the docu-lifestyle show, ‘The Kings’ – which is an intimate look into the lives of a supermodel, Joey Mead King, and her transgender spouse, Angie King, who is known for her work in philanthropy and love for motorsports. The show was launched on TLC SEAsia (Philippines feed) and Facebook ‘live’ worldwide, achieving an online viewership of 2 million, and was received with resounding positive feedback.
At Mediacorp, Singapore’s largest media organisation, she was the head of English general entertainment channel, Channel 5, developing a content strategy through commissioning local programmes and content acquisition.
She has spent the last few years focussing on the digital and content marketing, working for Bloomberg LP, Mediacorp Brand Studio, and Subaru Asia. Clients she has worked with collectively are Alibaba Cloud, Bybit, McKinsey, Cisco, Temasek Foundation Cares, Ministry of Culture, Community & Youth (MCCY), Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI), Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA).
During her free time, she volunteers for the international organisation, Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, helping bereaved parents through remembrance photography in their time of grief; and RE-PC, a local charity that helps students in need by recycling used laptops for educational needs.
